摘要: For a local area road network, the available traffic data of traveling are the flow volumes in the key intersections, not the complete OD matrix. Considering the circumstance characteristic and the data availability of a local area road network, a new model for traffic assignment based on Monte Carlo simulation of intersection turning movement is provided in this paper. For good stability in temporal sequence, turning ratio is adopted as the important parameter of this model. The formulation for local area road network assignment problems is proposed on the assumption of random turning behavior. The traffic assignment model based on the Monte Carlo method has been used in traffic analysis for an actual urban road network. The results comparing surveying traffic flow data and determining flow data by the previous model verify the applicability and validity of the proposed methodology.

Presentation of machine learning methods to determine the most important factors affecting road traffic

摘要: The purpose of this research was to develop statistical and intelligent models for predicting the severity of road traffic accidents (RTAs) on rural roads. Multiple Logistic Regression (MLR) was used to predict the likelihood of RTAs. For more accurate prediction, Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Radius Basis Function (RBF) neural networks were applied. Results indicated that in MLR, the model obtained from the backward method with the correct percent of 84.7% and R2 value of 0.893 was the best method for predicting the likelihood of RTAs. Also, MLR showed that the variables of not paying attention to the front not paying attention to the frontroad ahead, followed byand then vehicle-motorcycle/bike accidents were the greatest problems. Among the models, MLP had a better performance, so that the prediction accuracy of MLR, MLP, and RBF were 84.7%, 96.7%, and 92.1%, respectively. MLP model, due to higher accuracy, showed that the variable of reason of accident had the highest effect on the prediction of accidents, and considering MLR results, the variables of not paying attention to the front and then vehicle-motorcycle/bike accidents had the most influence on the occurrence of accidents. Therefore, motorcyclists and cyclists are more prone to accidents, and appropriate solutions should be adopted to enhance their safety.

基于虚拟节点道路网络模型的设计及实现

摘要:

利用传统的基于节点连接的道路网络模型来表达真实世界中的道路网络,其存在的缺陷越来越突出,大大降低了导航系统的鲁棒性。为了消除这些缺陷,首次提出一个新的道路网络模型,即基于虚拟节点连接的道路网络模型,其虚拟节点是汇交路段的各个端点所围成的区域,具有真实道路路口的形状,与传统模型相比,该模型更能表达真实世界道路网络中的交通流,所以它能更好地满足地图匹配理论要求。另外,该模型能很好的表达真实道路路口参数,所以它在交通规划,交通管理和交通流模拟中都有着十分广阔的应用前景。

“一带一路”沿线公路交通基础设施发展战略研究

摘要:

“一带一路”陆上沿线地区经济、社会和自然环境具有多样性和复杂性,实现“一带一路”公路基础设施的互联互通,存在诸多制约因素和挑战,亟需战略层面的研究和指引。本文基于大量的调研和专题研究,对“一带一路”陆上主要经济走廊的公路发展进行综合评估,梳理和归纳沿线公路建设面临的制约因素;结合战略思维和技术方案,提出总体建设和推进思路:以需求和基础定走向,以走向定自然和环境障碍,以自然和环境障碍定关键工程,以关键工程定技术解决方案,在此基础上,形成“一带一路”陆上主要走廊公路基础设施发展路径和重大工程建议;在战略实施过程中,结合评估关键控制工程的难易程度和资金需求量提出建设先后时序,针对项目本身的社会经济环境,制定可行的融资方案和运营方案。

Bile duct injury repair — earlier is not better

摘要:

Bile duct injury is a common complication of cholecystectomy. The timing of bile duct injury repair remains controversial. A recent review conducted in France reported 39% complications and 64% failure after immediate repair in 194 patients compared with 14% complications and 8% failure after late repair in 133 patients. A national review of 139 consecutive early repairs conducted at five hepatopancreaticobiliary centers in Denmark reported 4% mortality, 36% morbidity, and 42 restrictures (30%) at a median follow-up of 102 months, and only 64 patients (46%) demonstrated uneventful short-term and long-term outcomes. Most patients with bile duct injury present with bile leak and sepsis; thus, early repair is not recommended. Percutaneous drainage of bile and endoscopic stenting are the mainstays of treatment of bile leak because they convert acute bile duct injury into a controlled external biliary fistula. The ensuing benign biliary stricture should be repaired by a biliary surgeon after a delay of 4–6 weeks once the external biliary fistula has closed.

终南山公路隧道非机械式通风效果研究

秦岭终南山特长公路隧道规模庞大,通风系统复杂,为了合理确定通风配置,节约通风费用,评估自然风和交通活塞风等非机械式通风方式的通风效果就显得非常重要。课题组现场监测了终南山特长公路隧道内的自然风速、交通量及自然风压和交通风压共同作用下的风速,收集了大量数据。通过对监测数据的处理、分析得出,较大自然风速出现在10∶00—14∶00这个时间段,最大自然风速达到2.576 m/s;隧道东、西线交通量出现高峰期的时间段基本恒定;隧道东线内自然风压和交通风压共同作用下的风速较大的时间段基本上与交通量高峰期时间段相吻合,而西线这两个时间段吻合性较差,洞内风速变化相对平缓。考虑洞口外风向频率、风向、洞口实测温度等参数的自然风速计算方法计算值与实测自然风速较接近。隧道内自然风压和交通风压联合作用下的风速计算值虽小于现场实测值,但较接近实测值。

Loss of monocarboxylate transporter 1 aggravates white matter injury after experimental subarachnoid

摘要: Monocarboxylic acid transporter 1 (MCT1) maintains axonal function by transferring lactic acid from oligodendrocytes to axons. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) induces white matter injury, but the involvement of MCT1 is unclear. In this study, the SAH model of adult male Sprague-Dawley rats was used to explore the role of MCT1 in white matter injury after SAH. At 48 h after SAH, oligodendrocyte MCT1 was significantly reduced, and the exogenous overexpression of MCT1 significantly improved white matter integrity and long-term cognitive function. Motor training after SAH significantly increased the number of ITPR2+SOX10+ oligodendrocytes and upregulated the level of MCT1, which was positively correlated with the behavioral ability of rats. In addition, miR-29b and miR-124 levels were significantly increased in SAH rats compared with non-SAH rats. Further intervention experiments showed that miR-29b and miR-124 could negatively regulate the level of MCT1. This study confirmed that the loss of MCT1 may be one of the mechanisms of white matter damage after SAH and may be caused by the negative regulation of miR-29b and miR-124. MCT1 may be involved in the neurological improvement of rehabilitation training after SAH.

Risk factors of prognosis after acute kidney injury in hospitalized patients

The risk factors, especially laboratory indicators, of prognosis after acute kidney injury (AKI) remain unclear. We conducted a retrospective survey of Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 according to the AKI diagnosis standard issued by Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes. The epidemiological features and factors influencing hospital mortality and renal function recovery were evaluated through logistic regression analysis. Among 77 662 cases of hospitalized patients, 1387 suffered from AKI. The incidence rate and mortality of AKI were 1.79% and 14.56%, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that high AKI stage, age greater than 80 years, neoplastic disease, low cardiac output, increased white blood cell count, and decreased platelet count and serum albumin levels were the risk factors affecting the mortality of AKI patients. Conversely, body mass index between 28 and 34.9 was a protective factor. Increased AKI stage, tumor disease, post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and RRT were the risk factors of renal function recovery upon discharge. In addition to traditional risk factors, white blood cell count, platelet count, albumin, and BMI were the predictors of the mortality of AKI patients. No laboratory indicators were found to be the risk factors of renal function recovery in AKI patients.

Multi-class dynamic network traffic flow propagation model with physical queues

摘要: This paper proposes an improved multi-class dynamic network traffic flow propagation model with a consideration of physical queues. Each link is divided into two areas: Free flow area and queue area. The vehicles of the same class are assumed to satisfy the first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle on the whole link, and the vehicles of the different classes also follow FIFO in the queue area but not in the free flow area. To characterize this phenomenon by numerical methods, the improved model is directly formulated in discrete time space. Numerical examples are developed to illustrate the unrealistic flows of the existing model and the performance of the improved model. This analysis can more realistically capture the traffic flow propagation, such as interactions between multi-class traffic flows, and the dynamic traffic interactions across multiple links.

Traffic services for vehicles: the process from receiving raw probe data to space-time diagrams and theresulting traffic service

摘要: Today, large quantities of vehicle data (FCD: floating car data) are widely used by traffic service providers to create and broadcast traffic states in road networks. As a first processing step, all raw position data received from Global Positioning Systems (GPS) have to be map matched in a digital road map. The technical aspects of such a matching process for GPS data are described in this report. After the matching process, space-time-diagrams are created of the probe data showing traffic situation details over space and time. Various examples illustrate how traffic service quality depends on the number of matched GPS raw data; it will be stated that when 2% of connected vehicles in the total traffic flow are sending their GPS data in shorter time intervals, a high quality and precise reconstruction of the current traffic phases is achieved. Traffic reconstruction is followed by a translation into traffic information messages, which can be sent and used in vehicle navigation systems for driver information and dynamic route guidance.

Integrating storm surge modeling with traffic data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of hurricane

摘要: An integrated storm surge modeling and traffic analysis were conducted in this study to assess the effectiveness of hurricane evacuations through a case study of Hurricane Irma. The Category 5 hurricane in 2017 caused a record evacuation with an estimated 6.8 million people relocating statewide in Florida. The Advanced Circulation (ADCIRC) model was applied to simulate storm tides during the hurricane event. Model validations indicated that simulated pressures, winds, and storm surge compared well with observations. Model simulated storm tides and winds were used to estimate the area affected by Hurricane Irma. Results showed that the storm surge and strong wind mainly affected coastal counties in south-west Florida. Only moderate storm tides (maximum about 2.5 m) and maximum wind speed about 115 mph were shown in both model simulations and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) post-hurricane assessment near the area of hurricane landfall. Storm surges did not rise to the 100-year flood elevation level. The maximum wind was much below the design wind speed of 150–170 mph (Category 5) as defined in Florida Building Code (FBC) for south Florida coastal areas. Compared with the total population of about 2.25 million in the six coastal counties affected by storm surge and Category 1–3 wind, the statewide evacuation of approximately 6.8 million people was found to be an over-evacuation due mainly to the uncertainty of hurricane path, which shifted from south-east to south-west Florida. The uncertainty of hurricane tracks made it difficult to predict the appropriate storm surge inundation zone for evacuation. Traffic data were used to analyze the evacuation traffic patterns. In south-east Florida, evacuation traffic started 4 days before the hurricane’s arrival. However, the hurricane path shifted and eventually landed in south-west Florida, which caused a high level of evacuation traffic in south-west Florida. Over-evacuation caused Evacuation Traffic Index (ETI) to increase to 200% above normal conditions in some sections of highways, which reduced the effectiveness of evacuation. Results from this study show that evacuation efficiency can be improved in the future by more accurate hurricane forecasting, better public awareness of real-time storm surge and wind as well as integrated storm surge and evacuation modeling for quick response to the uncertainty of hurricane forecasting.

Leonurine protects ischemia-induced brain injury via modulating SOD, MDA and GABA levels

The present study was designed to investigate the protective effects of leonurine, a compound purified from that is active on ischemic rat behavior and cortical neurons, and explore the underlying mechanism. The general rat activity, cortical neuron morphology, superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), -aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate decarboxylase 67 (GAD67) levels were measured. We found leonurine significantly improve the general activity of rats in an open-field test, which was associated with attenuated neuronal damage induced by ischemia. Moreover, serum SOD activity was significantly greater, MDA level lower in the leonurine group as compared with ischemia group. In addition, GABA content in the cerebral cortex was significantly greater in high-dose leonurine group. Correspondingly, GAD67 protein level coincided with the GABA level. Taken together, our results demonstrated that leonurine attenuated brain injury during ischemia via antioxidative and anti-excitotoxicity effects by targeting GABA and leonurine might become a useful adjuvant neuroprotective agent.
